Scanning Slides Resolution Advice On Scanning Slides/negatives - Resolution/file Type?

Advice on scanning slides/negatives - resolution/file type? - scanning slides resolution

I will scan some negatives and slides have - first, the films are usually B & W - whole series of negative (110, 126, 35 mm).

If I go with TIFF, 8bit/channel is enough? I think 16 is a large number of files. If minor problem.

Would you like to do, and 8-bit TIFF? Any recommendations gladly accepted!
